“What do we do?” Echo asked under her breath.

“There’s only one thing Floofy likes more than barking,” Ruby whispered. “Treats!”

She squinted her eyes and wiggled her tail. Sparkles flew from her horn and a dog bone–shaped cupcake appeared at Floofy’s feet.

Floofy’s angry growling face instantly changed. He started drooling and yipped with excitement. Then he slurped up Ruby’s treat with his long tongue.

“Hurry!” I said. “Let’s get out of here while he’s chewing!”

“Look!” Echo pointed to an open window. We wouldn’t even have to sneak in through the back door. This would be easy sea breezy.

We silently drifted to the window and floated in one by one.

Ruby stopped short, and I quickly saw why. We were in Flash’s older sister’s room! She was right in front of us, singing along to Lana Del Stingray.

“Oh, blobfish!” I said, then immediately covered my mouth. Thankfully, Fiona was singing too loudly to hear me.
